Little Update

Facts about me, Life Update

I am very sorry for my absence the past days. My life has been difficult lately and I lost all motivation to write and to read as well. As you can imagine, I’m in the worst reading slump ever imagined with no posibilities to get out. I’ve tried reading everything, even short books,  but nothing seems to catch my attention.

In other news, this site turns 1 year in a couple of days. I wanted to do something special, but life often happens, so I have no idea and no motivation at all. I was thinking about a 24 hour “readathon” and write down my progress here or maybe a funny tag, yet it requieres plannification… Again, I’m not in the mood.

Yesterday I decided to change the blog’s theme, though, I kinda like it, but let me know what you think. To comment you have to click on the post’s title in order to like it or comment.

I’m trying to read “Kill all Happies” now, but I’m not liking it, because it ridicules people with OCD in some parts and as a person with an OCD, I can’t tolerate it. Why does people think is funny to make jokes about those kind of conditions? I mean I know we have to take life on the funny side sometimes, but that is just intorelable.

Anyway, please let me know if you want me to do something special to celebrate my blog’s anniversary. Please feel free to give some ideas. Also let me know if you like the new theme.

Thanks For reading my sad post🖤 I hope to feel better soon…

Bookish facts about me… Meet the blogger

Facts about me, Life Update, Meet the Blogger

Hi guys. It seems these days I have enough time to write posts and read more books and I’m going to enjoy every second of it, because you know, everything could change in a matter of hours. I’ll start working on saturday and who knows if I’ll be able to post as much as I would like.

This post it is special to me to write because I’d love to share with you a top five of reading rituals and bookish facts about me. I just want you to know the blogger behing the blog a little bit more… So, let’s start:

  1. I cannot read without a cup of coffee by my side and a soft Jazz music on the background. It is capital for me to do this, because I couldn’t concentrate on my book. It helps me with my anxiety too. But there are exceptions like, when I have to go to the doctor or take a long trip in a bus. giphy
  2. A bookish ritual that I have it’s that I have to like EACH AND EVERY picture on bookstagram. Since I wake up, I’m looking photos of my favorite bookstagrammers. This is an illness I guess -_- I can’t stop during the day, it is just a bad sign if I don’t do it… giphy (1)
  3. I love reading and taking pictures in the park. It’s a kind of therapy…giphy (2)
  4. I don’t have a bookshelf, but I hope that will change soon! That’s a sad story, please a minute of silence… Well, I do have a bookshelf but, it isn’t very “booked”.giphy-downsized (1).gif
  5. I can’t leave a book once I started reading it. Well I once stopped reading a book, but it was just because it was unbereable for me, It was altering my nerves and I decided to skip reading. For me that it’s not legal, but, sometimes you can change your rituals. giphy (3)That was all for me today, Thanks for reading and until next time…

Life and reading update.

Facts about me, Favorite Readings, Life Update, TBR

IMG_20170129_143731_979.jpgHallo there! The past days had been very busy for me; a lot of things to do, a little time to read or no time at all, but today finally I could finish The fellowship of the ring. If you follow me on IG you will find out I’m rereading LOTR again since the end of January.

It is always good to be back in the Middle Earth again, and I’m understanding more all the ring’s troubles and I’m loving the characters even more now, especially Gandalf. He’s my favorite wizard of all times. He’s always looking for the wisest way to go, like a good father to all his fellow companions. I’m in love with this world and if I could find the gate to the middle earth and leave this world behind, I would not think it twice ❤.

So today’s my reading Monday and I’ll start immediately with The two towers because of the plot twist at the ending of the first book that left me with the desire of more. That’s it, I’m a book dragon and have no remedy. I must read all that I can today because tomorrow I’m going on a trip! Yay! I love long travels in bus, but I can’t read while on the bus because it makes me dizzy. But it relaxes me to watch the nature and the sunrise through the window. It also makes me think about new stories to write. By the way I have an idea that I was putting on paper last Friday and I’m really excited about that!IMG_20170205_150737_939.jpg

How about you? How’s your life going? I want to know 👀

Thieves… Panic Attacks and Indestructible Kindles.

Facts about me

Hello peeps! This week has been very stressful for me and my mum. To not make this story too long I’ll start saying we been robbed last sunday… I was like :O My brain disconnected each and every nerve of my body and I started to tremble. The evil ones were riding a motocycle and the one who was behind jumped from the moto and went straight at us with an intimidating look. He took our handbags with our phones and tablets in it. And… Guess what? MY KINDLE WAS ON MY HANDBAG! My books! My precious books! Despite I bought a paperwhite (which hasn’t arrived yet), I felt the pain of losing it all, the impotence and the panic that started inmediately.

As I said above, my brain was disconnected and my tears came like cascades from my eyes. We had the few strenght to arrive to a friend’s house who lives just a few meters from the place we been assaulted and when I sat down it was like plooff… I collapsed. My friend gave me a glass of water, which I spilled in my shoes because my hands and legs were shaking. It took a long while, but finally I could calm down. It was a total trauma.

Thank God they just took what they wanted and didn’t any harm to us, but now I fear every motorcycle I see in the streets when I’m walking.

We had to go to the police to make the allegations and all that legal stuff, to see if they could track out devices. The captain said they would call us if they find something.

I was completely assured our belongings would never appear again, but perhaps I was a bit wrong about the police. The found our handbags, but not our devices, of course. What surprised me the most was that my kindle was found! It was in the handbag, which was wet and when I turned it on: IT WAS ALIVE!!! I’ve never been so happy to turn on a device in my whole life. That proves kindles are indestructible and Amazon deserves a big prize for that.

I finished reading Holding up the universe and I’ll write a review very soon. My paperwhite arrives tomorrow too, so I can’t wait to start reading A monster call by Patrick Ness.

That was all I had to say. I’m grateful to be alive and to be sit here on my couch sharing with you what happened to me and my mum.

Thanks for reading 🙂 ❤ Stay Safe!

  2. I’m a catlover. Those little furballs are my spirit animal. I thought I was allergic, but I discovered the truth: I’m not allergic to cats. Is very sad I realized it to late: a friend gifted me with a little kitten. A few minutes later I started to sneeze and my skin to itch, so in my mind (and my mum’s mind) I started to think it was my lovely Luigi (my kitten’s name). But how, how could it be if every time I see a cat I cuddle them?. But then I noticed Luigi was walking under my bed and he catched an spider’s web. So I realized it wasn’t the cat. I’m allergic to spider’s webs… I had to give Luigi to a lady that wanted a cat… I’m still sad about it.
  3. I love Metal. Yes I’m a metalhead. My favorite band in the whole universe is EPICA, they’re just AMAIZING. I recommend EPICA to every human being I know.
